On October 19th, TEFELEN hosted a very successful opening of their new Busbar and Bus Pipe facility in Frederick, Maryland. Philip Brown, President/CEO of TEFELEN and Phoenix Mecano, Inc. did the honors of cutting the ribbon with TEFELEN partner Rick Hepburn, President/CEO of Hepburn and Sons, LLC by his side. At the event, Philip delivered a speech about TEFELEN’s amazing electrical energy technology, and did a great job in welcoming TEFELEN’s new 100,000 square-foot manufacturing plant to the city of Frederick.
TEFELEN is proud to be the first American company providing special low voltage and medium voltage cast resin insulated Busbar and Bus Pipe systems. TEFELEN is working to establish and strengthen the application of cast resin systems throughout the American market.
It was a gorgeous fall day for the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony, and the weather was perfect at Phoenix Mecano’s Frederick, MD headquarters. The grand opening celebration was buzzing with great conversation from area business leaders and an array of elected officials and dignitaries. Mike Gill, Secretary of Commerce for the State of Maryland, spoke to the crowd related to the positive future of Maryland business, and thanked the team at Phoenix Mecano for bringing even more value to this area through TEFELEN. Also in attendance were Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner, Maryland State Senator Ron Young, Frederick County Alderman Roger Wilson, Frederick County Council Member Bud Otis, and Julianna Albowicz from United States Senator Chris Van Hollen’s office. Several on-site tours of TEFELEN’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility were conducted, and attendees were invited to setup personalized visits at a later date to gain even more detailed information about TEFELEN’s workflow and processes.
