On May 14th, Secretary of Commerce for the State of Maryland, Kelly Schulz, visited Phoenix Mecano headquarters located in Frederick, MD. Secretary Schulz, along with an array of elected officials and dignitaries, toured our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to learn more about Phoenix Mecano as a value-added manufacturer and to view our various product lines that have been protecting and moving the world’s innovations for over 30 years.
During their visit, Secretary Schulz and Philip Brown, President/CEO of Phoenix Mecano and TEFELEN, discussed the benefits of TEFELEN; the first American company to provide special low voltage and medium voltage cast resin insulated Busbar and Bus Pipe systems and how we are working together to strengthen the application of cast resin insulated Busbar and Bus Pipe systems throughout the American market. They also discussed in great detail the positive economic impact that Phoenix Mecano and TEFELEN continually provide local and global markets, as well as staffing challenges associated with developing skilled labor and awareness of manufacturing as a viable employment industry for emerging employees.
We’d like to thank Secretary Schulz for her interest and support as we continually grow and strive for excellence to better serve our customers. Our mission is to be the supplier of choice; utilizing our unmatched technical expertise, quality products and streamlined processes to help engineers and designers find faster and more efficient solutions to their challenges. Equally important is our commitment to building value for our customers and employees by creating an environment of optimism, collaboration, and resourcefulness.
