Philip Brown is President and CEO of Phoenix Mecano Inc., a global leader in the electronic enclosure and industrial automation segments. Phoenix Mecano is the North American design service and value-added manufacturer of the Phoenix Mecano Group. Philip served as a Chief Engineer in the British Royal Navy Submarine Service for 11-years. Philip, along with his family, relocated to the United States in 2005.
Philip is also President of Okin America Inc., a North American product subsidiary located in Mississippi. He serves on the Leadership Committee for the Phoenix Mecano Managing Group located in Switzerland and is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Orion Technologies LLC. Philip is also proud to be most recently named President of Tefelen LLC, a manufacturer of medium-voltage bus bar solution systems.
Tammy joined Phoenix Mecano, Inc in July 2008 as a Financial Analyst. In 2010, she was promoted to the position of Finance Manager. She brings over twenty years of progressive accounting experience to her position, including financial analysis and general accounting practices. She has previously worked in both manufacturing and public accounting. Tammy holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from the University of Maryland, University College in Business and Management, with an emphasis in Accounting.
Chris’ role covers all aspects of Supply Chain at Phoenix Mecano US. His experience in Purchasing, Materials Management, Inventory Management, Logistics, and Warehousing is supported by an amazing team of seventeen talented colleagues, all of whom facilitate customer needs. Chris enjoys forecasting demand, improving processes, building teams, and facing new challenges. When he’s not working, Chris likes to spend quality time with his family, working in the yard, and hanging out at the lake.
LeeAnne joined Phoenix Mecano in May of 2010 as the Inside Sales Manager for RK Rose+Krieger. In 2016 she was promoted to Inside Sales Manager to include all three brands – Rose, Bopla, and RK. LeeAnne has a BSBA in Business from East Carolina University. Previously, LeeAnne was with Thermo Fisher Scientific for 25 years, working with the Domestic and International Sales Team traveling to Germany, England, China, Hong Kong, Korea, and Japan. LeeAnne and her husband are empty-nesters and are excited about downsizing. They will soon be moving to a new house, built on a section of land that was previously a Christmas tree farm. This should afford their two dogs plenty of room to roam!
Bruce joined Phoenix Mecano in June 2008 as the Engineering Manager, and was appointed the Director of Strategic Operations in 2019. Bruce’s most recent experience was with CertainTeed, a local manufacturing company, where he served as the Process Engineering Manager. In addition to over 25 years of engineering experience, Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Masters of Business Administration. Interestingly, Bruce was awarded US Patent 6,230,585 for development of a transmission solenoid bracket family.
Rebekah Collogan joined the Phoenix Mecano Team in 2019 as the Quality Manufacturing Engineering Manager. She is responsible for our internal manufacturing and quality control systems as well as evaluating our production processes and make any improvements needed to ensure our products meet the company’s high quality standards.
Rebekah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Wichita State and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Wisconsin. Her extensive educational background and past work experience has made her a valuable asset in producing quality products for Phoenix Mecano’s extensive customer base.
Rebekah enjoys spending her down time with her family and friends.
With a degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology from Penn State University, Clayton is uniquely qualified to supervise Phoenix Mecano’s team of five in-house engineers. From assembly to machining to engraving to painting and more, Clayton and his team have the skills and experience to customize any Phoenix Mecano product to the customer’s exact specifications. Clayton says he particularly enjoys the variety of his job and the new engineering challenges each day brings. He recently attended the Maryland Manufacturing Future Leaders program, an intensive, industry-specific course for managers. An avid outdoorsman, Clayton enjoys hunting, hiking, and fishing in the mountains near his home in Smithsburg, Maryland.
Andrea joined the Phoenix Mecano family in early 2020 as the HR Manager. Her people-centered work has always been in a manufacturing/production space and has afforded her the opportunity to work with diverse groups of people while feeding her curiosity around how products are manufactured and fit into our daily lives. Leading up to joining Phoenix Mecano she spent time in the garment, commercial lawn equipment, and construction manufacturing, as well as the environmental sustainment industry. Andrea holds a BS in HR Management, MS in Organizational Leadership, and the SPHR certification.
When not working, Andrea enjoys time with family and friends, working on projects, traveling, dabbling in photography, and hanging with her German Shephard.
Damon joined Phoenix Mecano in early 2019 as Systems Administrator and accepted the position of IT Manager in early 2020. Damon completed his Associates Degree in Information Technology in 2013 and quickly gained an abundance of knowledge working for local managed service providers. In that time Damon worked with businesses that had many different styles and needs from small two-person non-profits to large corporations. This has provided him with the wide-ranging skill set and experience required for the position.
Damon’s motto is: “Technology works the same for everyone; but understanding how best to apply it is the key to success.” Partnering with our global IT teams and local management, Damon strives to make every day more efficient and effective for his colleagues by making technology work for them. In his personal time Damon enjoys spending time at home with his husband, dog, and two cats, as well as riding his motorcycle, having fun nights out with friends, and slowly but surely traveling the world.
A relative newcomer to the company, William “Will” Green brings a wealth of experience in continuous improvement strategies and manufacturing oversight to Phoenix Mecano. He joined the company in February of 2019 as Planning Manager, adding the responsibilities of Production Manager shortly thereafter. In addition to supervising the training and development of his 30-person production staff, Will ensures that the goods that Phoenix Mecano produces are made efficiently and cost-effectively, and that the company’s rigorous quality standards are fully integrated into every aspect of production. Will, his wife, and their five children moved to Frederick from Idaho after completing their degrees at Boise State so his wife could complete her Master’s at George Washington University.
Neha is the architect and manager of Phoenix Mecano’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software application. From inventory to order management, to accounting to customer relationship management and beyond, Neha uses the ERP to integrate every function and process needed to run the business efficiently. She designs, creates, codes, and implements modifications to the shared database so that all the company’s employees across divisions are relying on the same information. Neha holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Applications and a Master’s in Computer Management. She thoroughly enjoys spending time with her two children and the rest of her family at their home in Ashburn, VA.
Ehsan Alavi began his career at TEFELEN America, a Phoenix Mecano partner company, as its Engineering Director in 2018. Ehsan leads a team of engineers in the prototyping, testing, and credentialing of Busbar and Bus Pipe systems, innovative, cast resin applications to replace traditional low- and medium-voltage electrical cabling for safety-critical products. TEFELEN is the first American company to delve into the manufacturing of these ground-breaking products, which can be used in power plants, substations, shipyards, renewables, and many other industries. Ehsan and his team are currently working to establish and strengthen the application throughout the American market.
As the Executive Administrator for Phoenix Mecano since 1989, Joann is involved in several aspects of sensitive corporate correspondence for the President, including all international corporate offices. She is the Facility Manager, Legal Liaison, and General Liability Insurance Management and Liaison.
Joann is also the Corporate representative for the Frederick Chamber of Commerce and she serves on the board of the Middletown Chamber of Commerce. She is a supporter of the Miss Frederick Pageant and Frederick’s Woman-to-Woman Mentoring Program, both as a past mentor and current supporter.
Joann moved to the area in 1984 and enjoys spending time with her much loved family and pets.
