Eeshika Singh recently sat down for an interview where she reflected on her rewarding experiences as one of our interns. During her time here she is pleased to have gained technical skills while benefiting from personal growth and exploration.
She explained just how grateful she is that the internship offers her both flexibility and support so that she can discover different areas of engineering and research. Eeshika emphasized how much she values that we have given her the freedom to make mistakes and learn from them without the fear of consequences.
Eeshika was also enthusiastic about having a unique internship experience at a company with various departments of specialization. Eeshika appreciates the collaborative work environment where everyone willingly lends a helping hand based on their unique skills and roles. She engaged in conversations with employees from various departments, seeking insights into their backgrounds and current roles. Each interaction was rich with valuable advice.
Eeshika especially appreciates the support she has been receiving from her mentors, Sam and Prasaath. They have patiently guided her through learning new software while giving her the needed resources. Eeshika described how when she was working with her first dashboard on a new program, Sam allowed her to tackle it independently and as she encountered challenges, he stepped in to help.
Eeshika also mentioned the valuable skills she acquired and how she plans to use them in future projects. She discussed using Power BI software for data analytics and visual representation, showcasing the practical applications of what she is learning as part of her internship.
She also shared that when she is not working, she loves to dance and is a member of the dance team at Virginia Tech. Eeshika also enjoys traveling and exploring new places. Her commitment to continuous learning and growth is seen in both her professional work and in her personal interests as well.
